remaining. preceding, continuing. the condition of being a living thing, doing it over & over, always doing it.
II.
repeating it by the water. saying or doing it again. repeating it without understanding.
III.
an animal, a living being by the water. brought here before, placed here before. standing by. standing near. unconcealed.
IV.
of a kind, of a sort. among. not one : subject to, obliged to. chosen, eligible, excellent.
V.
by the lifeless water, great in expanse. thrown down beside it. holding close by it.

remaining : continuing. remaining : repeating. a course or way of living.

adhering, sticking. the long part or aspect of anything. as: i am, i will be. i was.
